Teaching the Mind, Body, and Heart of Every Child
I am a Physical Educator, and I teach the MOST valuable subject, Physical Education. I help children today and help them become healthy and active adults.
Hello! I am Carrie
CARRIE FLINT is a highly experienced, award-winning physical education teacher, and adapted physical education specialist from California. She is a national presenter (38 states so far) advocating for the importance of quality physical education programs for all students. Carrie has taught in numerous schools and districts (PreK and Up) for over 25 years and has trained PE teachers and classroom teachers across the country.
“I don’t Teach GYM. My name is not COACH. I teach the least valued subject yet research proves otherwise. I teach the WHOLE CHILD. My lessons help students build brain cells, improve physical fitness, and mental wellness. I am a Physical Educator, and I teach the MOST valuable subject, Physical Education. I help children today and help them become healthy and active adults.”

I wholeheartedly recommend Carrie Flint as a keynote speaker for any event. Her combination of warmth, responsiveness, organizational prowess, and genuine passion for her subject matter make her an invaluable asset. What truly set Carrie apart, however, was the emotional depth and vulnerability she brought to her keynote address. It takes a special kind of speaker to connect with an audience on a personal level, and Carrie did just that.Â

Carrie Flint has been a master trainer for Peaceful Playgrounds Inc. for the past 20 years. She is an outstanding trainer who is always prepared, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable and always receives the highest ratings from participants. Bringing music to her training is a bonus that sets her apart from other presenters and motivates adults to participate and have fun while doing so.Â

“Carrie is amazing!” I hear this every time we have Carrie come to our district. Our teachers have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her presentations. Carrie has an incredible energy and a passion that captivates her audience. Our teachers learn so much from her, everything from strategies to manage large classes to techniques on keeping students motivated. They leave her sessions ready to implement what they’ve learned and excited for all the new resources they have. Carrie is always welcome back to our district!

PURPOSE of Physical Education … Is it a PREP for Teachers or is it to TEACH Students PE?
I present this question knowing what a physical education teacher would answer and I also know
TO PLAY OR NOT TO PLAY…………..DODGEBALLÂ
Dodgeball still and will probably always will be a point of discussion in the physical education
It is ADAPTEDÂ not ADAPTIVEÂ Physical Education
Adaptive and Adapted are not interchangeable, there is a difference. APE is ADAPTED, as educators we ADAPT the PE curriculum to meet the needs of the individual student to be successful. ADAPTIVE requires the student to adapt to the program.
Why do I care about Physical Education so much
Not only does my husband ask me this question frequently, but I also ask myself. Truthfully, I don’t know exactly why, except that I just do. Why and when did this passion start for me? Well, I believe my experience, as a child is one reason.
My story….My journey to help teachers and advocate for Physical Education
I am a physical educator that loves to share ideas and help, especially help classroom teachers that are required to teach PE. I respect educators with different philosophies and feelings about physical education, however for me….
